Sustainability is one of the basic principles of Physis Ingredients. In the cultivation stage, the practices follow the principles of organic farming. In the processing stage, the productive process has been designed in a way that it takes place in low temperatures and with organic solvents, so that it is environment friendly.

Furthermore, the residues of the process (the wooden parts of the plants) feed the gasification plant of HORIZON S.A.– the parent company of Physis Ingredients – and are utilized for energy production and / or the production of aromatic briquettes for foods smoking. In this way, circular economy is applied and both companies are beneficiaries.
